The Indiana Covered Bridge Loop
Six Counties. Nine Bridges. One Great Trail. The Indiana Covered Bridge Loop features single, double, triple span bridges, and the only remaining double tunnel bridge in Indiana. Drive the Loop in a day-long adventure or over a long weekend. Your journey will cover approximately 216 miles throughout the counties of Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings and Lawrence.

John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail
General Morgan's men spent six days crossing through southern Indiana, leaving behind a swath of devastated homesteads and burnt buildings. With their pursuers, led by Union General Hobson, only a few hours behind them, the raiders left Indiana and entered Ohio at Harrison, on July 13th. Most of the route taken by John Hunt Morgan through Indiana has been mapped out for a driving tour complete with directional markers and road-side points of interest.

Walking/Driving Tour of Vernon
A Walking/Driving tour of Vernon takes you back to 1810. The oldest bridge of any kind in the State of Indiana. A well-known stop on the Underground Railroad. The beautiful Italianate style of the Courthouse. The town and face of Vernon has hardly changed since the square was originally designed. Architectural Tour of North Vernon
The new architectural tour of North Vernon includes the ornate Italianate architecture of the downtown, the newly renovated City Hall, railroad workers row houses, and beautiful homes from the 1840s to 1880s. The tour can be obtained from the Tourism office: 812-592-8087.

Bridges of Jennings County Tour
The Bridges of Jennings County Tour is a do-it-yourself driving tour that features ten of Jennings County's historic bridges. The county has over 170 bridges for vehicular and railroad traffic. Many of these spans are quite old. The Vernon Arch is the oldest bridge of any kind in the entire state; it was constructed in 1837. The driving tour will not only allow you to see the unique bridges of Jennings County but will also provide you with rich history and gorgeous views of Jennings County.
